I only took one photo at the LOVE show last weekend. It was of Kip's newly built pan. For sure the sweetest new bike to hit my eyes at the show. Everyone else on the interweb took photos of bikes there. Instead, the few photos I took were on the road or at Lo Lo's.

I love Phoenix this time of year. Makes me miss my ol hometown. Thanks Short Fuse and Tone for providing such good company.

Moto Monday was pretty calm this month! Stories came home from the Love Cycles Show. Utah County fools made the 40 (freeway) mile mission in the COLD and were stoked to be there! We had a visitor on vaca from SF that popped in and told stories of her moto adventures. A solid turn out and good conversing this MM. See ya next month fools!

Our good friend, Sean (of Grim Cycle Salvage), clipped a tree while snowboarding last Sunday. He snapped his arm clean, right below a plate he already had from a previous injury.

Sean owns and runs Grim Cycle Salvage with his wife and boys, and is one of the best HD wrenches I've ever met. Dude knows his shit.

As the owner of a small business, though, he's had to scrimp to make ends meet. He's been runnin' on the edge, and has been living without health insurance. To fix his arm, Sean needs a specialized surgeon, and thus far, all the qualified surgeons he's contacted refuse to work on him without a 50% down payment...

On a $19,000 surgery, that's a LOT of fucking dough.

Needless to say, Sean isn't sitting on that kind of cash.

It's been a full week now since the accident. Bone starts to die after about 14 days... homie needs to get into surgery, pronto. Dude's dedicated his entire life to wrenching on Harley's --- being a one-armed mechanic would definitely be a hinderance to his business.

These dude's are top notch and some of the elite in the SLC valley. Their shop is heated in the winter by a old wood burning stove in the center of the building which recently has become a melting pot for a variety of metals and casting has become Saturday's morning activity. The shop is full of amazing bikes from race to chopper and 100% of the time gangster rap is blazing over the old sony ghetto blaster. If your ever in the hood and you know any of these fools try to convince them that you deserve to go and hang out for an afternoon. I assure you! You won't regret it.

How do I introduce a beast as this? Basically, wakeboarders invented this machine, thats just the way it is! Snowboarders think wakeboarders are gay, skateboarders think snowboarders are gay, BMX'ers think skateboarders are gay, baggers think choppers gay and I think a gay is gay. Anyway, I thought I would post a little product review on this beast. We snowboarders use it for speed to obstacles we find in the streets, there has been terrible versions designed and the general feeling of getting behind the controls of a winch are fear based and avoided first and for most, simply for the reason that you might get more hurt than the "athlete" that your are winching in will get performing their stunts. The Heine Winch however is designed/engineered and built with speed, protection and easy of maintenance in mind. After using it for the past 2 weeks, daily, all these points came to fruition and truth. I know it ain't moto just a motor and maybe you don't care, but don't worry it's winter and you'll only have to look a this post for another month or 2. So, as you would behind the butt end of a speed boat with handle clinched in your paws yell "HIT IT" and get your grind on.

Packed house, line out the door in the cold, close to 50 bikes rode in, some from deep in the cut of Utah, Raid drove down from Idaho to play and murked, Gods Revolver played a killer set, the food was great @ The Garage, Stone was drunk in 2 and a half seconds of delivering his books, which look insane! I can't thank the scene and anyone that put in effort to make this happen enough! Hollywood grinded to get this dialed, Dice folks... Thank You!! Utah loves you and it was a privilege for us to host such a rad evening!

I partied around staying semi close to the crib site trying to catch nuts and bolts that wanted to jump out the seat, turned out pretty cool, the chrome blew off the pipe after 20 seconds, cause half the pipe is stainless, but its a testament that the "perfect" looking bike is simply not in my cards, and Im ok with this.

COC/FTW CO Visit

I flew out and picked up a car in Wisconsin last week. What better place to stop over for a detour than Des Moines IA. I got to the shop around 10PM, Jeff and I proceeded to talk shop and drink CL smooths till 1 and then it was off to his bar GT for more coldies and one of the best pizza's I have ever had. From there Jeff and Fatty kindly let me stay upstairs at the FTW printhouse. Thanks again boys so stoked I stopped!

Thought I would share an update, I pulled it all down for a "real" paint job and get it looking all pretty. Did a little frame cleaning, Andy modified my oilbag. I got frame, tins, and legs with Dave at Bloody Knuckels Chop Shop for a shiny gloss black, and sissy, exhaust, mags and bars at Chrome.

Got an OK wrap job finished up on my King and Queen. A long overdue cam cover chop will also be new addition.

We got a few homies together and did a short 60 miles into the hills for a camp night. We got punted by the rain the final 10 miles into the campsite, so much fun!! Hollywood said it best "you know you have a good crew when nobody stops when the rain hits" so true! The crew was small and tight and we, as usual had good, short adventure and stories to bring home. Thanks all ya'll fools, good times!

The best part about parking my bike at the airport is knowing that I don't have a stupid boardbag to deal with. All I have is a skate and maybe a backpack with a change of clothes, and since the instagram bomb hit, my computer can stay home too!

Tour of the Beast.. First stop SD to meet up with Jp and the Frog, do the rounds and then end up at Bear Mtn for Hot Dawgs and handrails. After that a 6am flight back to SLC to hop on my bike and rip solo straight to Lake Powell for some family fun. I'll try to keep the updates Rollin.
